Blog Entry #6 The New Amendment

Lately i have been watching the news and reading different blogs and articles about our rights as American citizens. I do have many opinions, and my rights are certainly on the top of the list of what should not be taken away from me. The second Amendment is being attacked and "We" as American people are being told that "We" should be like the rest of the world and not be able to conceal weapons. I as a Veteran feel I have the right to protect my family and myself; as long as one can pass the appropriate background checks and safety courses. Everyone that is on the opposing side trying to take away these rights should think about who they are taking them away from. Most of the law abiding and lawful citizens are the ones that are being affected not the ones that are going out and killing people or robbing convience stores and banks. The news is so biased the stories that are told are all the bad. What about the Robbery Thwarted? If you read this or even look for the video these are people who know what to do and how to use weapons for good not evil. I do not like politicians who have never served in any public emergency position to tell me what i should or should not do! I really hope everyone knows that just because a law is passed does not mean that police are going to be able to gather all the weapons. The bad people who are using them for the wrong reasons are not going to give up that easily.
